The Throat Chakra is the portal through which we express our thoughts, feelings, creativity and power. When this energy centre is blocked we can feel stifled, frustrated, unable or inhibited in our communication it is then that we feel misunderstood.
This is a huge portal extending from the nose over the mouth around the neck and throat and over the top of the chest. Our need to express ourselves freely is paramount to our comfort in society. To also establish our place of worth within the group and to be valued by others takes courage, for many it is a place of vulnerability. By exploring our soul’s nature through sounding, chanting and singing we vibrate the crystalline structure of our bodies at a cellular level, shaking loose resistances and allowing space for more truth to reside. Our personal sound rises from the portals below expressing our needs for security, creativity and power of self. From above comes the inspiration into life, intuition and clarity and that which is beyond and yet within physical form. The meeting point, where the body narrows at the neck is a place of vulnerability and exposure that needs to be open and flexible.
